Detroit Man Sentenced To Up To 20 Years For Throwing Contraband Over Lakeland Prison Fence

Edison Terry, 59, of Detroit, was sentenced to 45 months to 20 years in prison after pleading no contest for delivery of methamphetamine after he was caught planning to throw the contraband over the Lakeland Correctional Facility fence in Coldwater, Michigan. Corrections officers and Michigan State Police troopers arrested Terry on August 13th in a wooded area outside the LCF fence. Michigan State Police Trooper Jereme Miller and his police dog found three packages nearby. All were wrapped in plastic and wrapped in fake grass. Inside were two cellphone, 96 grams of cannabis product, 10 grams of heroin, and 30 grams of meth.
