Judge Tells Karen Who Threw Chipotle Burrito Bowl At Employee To Work Fast Food For Less Jail Time

Rosemary Hayne, the “Burrito Bowl Karen”, was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 90 days suspended, but she can lessen her sentence by 60 days if she agrees to get a job working in fast food for at least 20 hours per week. This comes after Hayne was upset about her order and threw a Chipotle Burrito Bowl in Emily Russell’s face who was working at Chipotle Mexican Grill. Judge Timothy Gilligan expressed to Hayne that “This is not ‘Real Housewives’ of Parma,” and explained that he wanted her to gain a sense of empathy by working fast food and to also deter others from similar behavior. Russell quit after the incident.
