Mom Caught Smuggling PCP Into Jailhouse Using Baby's Diaper
Reality McDowell was arrested and charged with bringing a controlled substance into a penal institution (Cook County Jail), a Class 1 felony, and possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony. Deputies reported they saw McDowell on a live security camera hand the baby to an inmate who removed a piece of paper from the infant’s diaper. Investigators tested the paper and were able to determine that it was saturated with Phencyclidine, or PCP. McDowell had her first court appearance and was released pending trial.
